This Privacy Policy relates to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Data by LENDME ("BE RESOURCES LIMITED using the trade mark of "LENDME" and the "Wallet Insignia", hereinafter referred to as "Lender", "We" or "Our"). Personal Data is information relating to an individual ("Borrower", "You" or "Your"). Lend Me respects your privacy and complies with all Nigerian Laws regarding the collection and protection of consumer data.

1. RATIONAL CHOICES & RESPONSIBLE LENDING

We believe in fair and responsible lending. Our mobile app is not aimed at anyone under the age of 18yrs old or anyone who may be inebriated or is unable to make rational choices of their own. Age validation will be done against the social media profiles accessed over the internet. Most financial decisions are better made in consultation with experienced consultant who will provide the required guidance through the process, be financial aware of the implications of the loans sought and how it could impact future commitments.

2. HANDLING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use high end encryption technology to transmit customer data from their devices to our servers. Additional safe guards have been implemented to ensure safe data storage, tier level access control to access customer information plus constant update with the use of best in class technology to ensure customer information safety at all times. In the course of transmission of the data, we may need to the following:

a. Personal information verification- To confirm as much as possible that the customer who has supplied the information is who he said he is without any further misrepresentation or posing as someone else for the purpose of obtaining a loan.

b. To determine eligibility using various data footprints available to determine eligibility criteria including willingness and ability to pay.

c. General account maintenance and customer account activity transmission in the ordinary course of business.

d. Your onboarding process may include the use of tokens from online social media accounts which may include but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, email accounts etc. During the course of transaction, your information may be shared with third party providers who we will engage to create a better user experience, credit verification, recovery of outstandings in the unlikely event of default, transportation of payment and related online services.

3. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We are bound to disclose personal information in the ordinary course of business as detailed below:

a. Enforcement of a court order- Includes but not limited to arbitration, task force, court tribunal, financial regulator, enforcement agency, exchange body, tax authority, or any other authority (including any authority investigating an offence) or their agents, or other parties with which the Nigerian government could have signed a treaty.

b. Third parties offering facilitation services or business advisory services (tax and audit consultants, management consultants etc) and by extension their own staffs who may have been engaged by us.

c. While trading in financial instruments like Bonds, Commercial Papers and other forms of financial instruments created to further liquidity including issuing of shares, recapitalisation.

d. Regulatory or Compliance disclosures allowed or required by Nigerian law, regulation or any other applicable instrument;

e. Any debt collection agency, credit bureau or credit reference agency, rating agency correspondents, insurer or insurance broker, direct or indirect provider of credit protection and fraud prevention agencies;

f. Any financial institution to conduct credit checks, anti - money laundering related checks, for fraud prevention and detection of crime purposes;

g. Authorised members of staffs, Directors or relevant service agencies of LENDME



We encourage our customers to be web safe and offer minimum disclosures where they cannot trust webpages. Personal security should be your priority and do not disclose usernames, passwords and other details that may compromise your data on the web without asking questions. Your personal information shared are sacred to us. We will not share any of your personal information to third parties’ other than in the normal course of doing business except in some of the circumstances described earlier.

4. SOLICITATIONS AND MARKETING:

All transactions are direct to the customer. We do not use third party agencies to further our causes, to this end, all information given to customers are based on demand

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 28th December 2018, and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
